The creation of the perfume Origino marked the beginning of the Jeroboam perfume brand. Origino was born from a unique blend of "enigmatic musks," crafted by independent perfumer Vanina Muracciole. According to François Hénin, the founder of Jovoy, Origino can be worn alone as a mysterious, signature scent that’s deeply personal, or paired with another fragrance to boost longevity and create a standout trail. Origino is a rich, musky base that sparked the creation of an entirely new olfactory universe. What began as a playful experiment between François and Vanina turned into a full-fledged perfume collection — Jeroboam. Inspired by the idea of creating something universal, the brand adopted a name and concept rooted in Esperanto, a language created to be universal. Jeroboam’s fragrances are designed to transcend language, speaking directly through scent, especially in moments of seduction. The name Jeroboam was chosen because it’s about breaking boundaries, both in fragrance and in communication, offering a perfume experience that is as much about feeling as it is about words.
