Founded in Germany in 2006 by perfumer Geza Schoen, the Escentric Molecules brand is distinguished by a disruptive approach to fragrances: its olfactory compositions are based on synthetic aromatic molecules and do not use natural ingredients. The idea for Escentric Molecules stems from Schoen's fascination with Iso E Super, a molecule that is used to enhance certain ingredients in fragrances, but which, in this case, became the protagonist of the brand's first launch, Molecule 01. The brand has been adding new creations until it has a collection of fragrances that highlights the unique character of one molecule plus one key ingredient.
